Children's books support your students to explore social emotional learning and challenging topics.
Thank you, Brenda, for an amazing time. You have, without a doubt, influenced my perception surrounding special education and mental health, and because of you, I feel prepared and confident to be an educator who truly cares and wants to help all learners no matter the challenges we may face as a team. Our time together was short but sweet, filled with knowledge, activities, strategies and discussion that will forever remain a part of my inner landscape.

This is part of a series to support students to understand the wonderful differences between individuals! A great series for teachers to own.
Using the metaphor of the rainbow, this book is a must have for teaching about celebrating difference!
I just finished this Susin Nielsen book - definitely a good choice for intermediate students. It's about difference, dealing with loss and forging new relationships . I LOVE THIS AUTHOR and your students will too!
I truly believe that teachers (and parents) do the best they can for kids with what they know. In the immortal words of Maya Angelou, when you know better, you do better. I try to learn a little everyday, and do a little better everyday.
I want to be by your side through your educational journey, so you can know more and do a little better too.
Be in touch for mentoring, curriculum support, or professional learning opportunities.
